Terramar Environmental Services, Inc., Sugarloaf Key, Florida contracted with the Growth Management Division of Monroe County, Florida for the development of a geospatial land cover dataset for the Florida Keys. The previous GIS land cover dataset was developed based on 2009 aerial photography and had not been updated. Monroe County required the creation of a land cover dataset developed from 2022 high resolution orthophotographs to produce an updated land cover geospatial dataset. The minimum mapping unit for classification was 0.5 acres for all codes except hammocks which was 0.35 acres. |
